It’s beautifully writen, but I somehow disagree.

Isn’t the whole point of a relationship to fall head over heels for one another? Then have a problem, get angry and sad. After that you work it out and are back on cloud seven.

It’s this rollercoaster that makes it exciting. No risk no fun.

Attachement is a wonderful thing. Of course it’s also healthy to know when an identity has served it’s purpose and the time has come to disattach and move on.

In conclusion: I do agree.

The high points you describe can feel wonderful. But they don’t last and in the end you will find yourself yearning for something grander with more permanent contentment. That is why some label these temporary highs as “reduced suffering events”…
