I think it’s good to mention that we are one of the few countries with a direct democracy.

It means politicians are under constant pressure to making decisions that actually benefit the people.

Otherwise a people’s initiative is launched quickly (helps to be only 8 million people) whose outcome the government has to obey to.

So actively seeking war is nearly impossible to achieve nowadays.

Remind you that people decided to not have 2 weeks more paid vacation days per year, which gives an idea.

It’s important for a swiss to contribute his part. But almost more important to make sure their fellow does aswell =)
